The Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge in Japan heads the list of the top 10 longest single spand bridges in the world. Spontaneous City is a series of interventions in London’s urban green spaces by artist duo Bruce Gilchrist and Jo Joelson together known as London Fieldworks, a metaphorical interplay between the condition of the animal and the human and their enfolded habitats.The artworks are open to occupation by wildlife and can be read as an allegory of population crash and dwindling biodiversity of birds and insects alongside global concerns about megacities and peri-urbanisation, fluid populations and porous borders.

Men Made Incredible Sand Sculpture by Susanne Ruseler

Susanne started sand sculpting in 2003, when she was still studying biology. She discovered that she loves creating sculptures and also became involved in snow and ice sculpting. Since Susanne graduated, she has been sculpting sand, snow and ice full time as she travels around the world, participating mostly in events and some competitions. She has worked on events all over Europe from Tel Aviv to Antwerp and from St Petersburg to Madrid, and also in Australia, South Korea, USA and Canada.
